Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

These are the rules for using Invoeze. We've kept them short and in plain English so you can actually read them.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Invoeze, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you're using the service on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that business, and "you" in these terms refers to that business.

If you don't agree with any part of these terms, don't use the service.

2. Who we are

Invoezeis a web-based invoice generator operated from India. In these terms, "we", "us", and "our" mean the Invoezeoperator; "you" and "your" mean the account holder.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate information (name, email, any business details you choose to enter) and keep it up to date.
  • You're responsible for keeping your password safe. Don't share it, and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • One free account per person. We may terminate duplicate accounts created to bypass free-tier limits.
  • You may sign in with Google. By doing so, you authorise us to receive your basic Google profile (name, email, profile picture) as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Invoeze for any illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose.
  • Create invoices for transactions that did not actually occur, or to impersonate another person or business.
  • Upload content that is abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our underlying infrastructure.
  • Scrape, crawl, or automate the web interface in a way that places undue load on our systems. Use the official API instead.
  • Resell, white-label, or redistribute Invoeze as a substantially similar product.
  • Interfere with other users' normal use of the service.

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination without refund.

5. Your content

You own everything you put into Invoeze: your invoice content, client details, bank information, logos, and any other data you enter.

To run the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content back to you (and to third parties you choose to share it with, like a client you send a PDF to). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you create. That includes making sure:

  • Tax figures (GST, TDS, VAT, etc.) are correct for your jurisdiction.
  • You have the right to use any logos, images, or trademarks you upload.
  • Client details you enter were obtained and used lawfully.

Invoeze is a tool. It does not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice.

6. Free and Pro plans

Invoeze offers two tiers:

Free plan

  • A limited number of PDF downloads per calendar month.
  • All invoice templates.
  • PDFs include a small Invoeze watermark.
  • No invoice history; no API access.

Pro plan

  • Unlimited PDF downloads with no watermark.
  • Cloud invoice history accessible from any device.
  • Developer API access with revocable keys.
  • Priority email support.

We may add, remove, or change features, pricing, and limits. For Pro plans, any pricing changes apply to future renewals, not to time you have already paid for.

7. Payments and billing

  • Payments are processed by PayU. We never see or store your card, UPI, or net-banking credentials.
  • Pro is a manual renewal model. There is no auto-billing. Each payment grants either 30 days (monthly plan) or 365 days (yearly plan) of Pro access, stacking on top of any time remaining on your existing subscription.
  • Prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR).
  • You are responsible for any taxes on your own side that arise from your purchase or use of the service.
  • A transaction receipt is recorded in your dashboard for every successful payment.

8. Refunds

Our full refund policy is on the Refund policy page. In short: because Pro is billed for a fixed period and does not auto-renew, we generally do not issue refunds after the period has begun, unless required by law.

9. Third-party services

Invoeze relies on third parties to function. Their terms and privacy policies apply in addition to ours:

  • Supabase for database and authentication.
  • PayU for payment processing.
  • Google OAuth for optional sign-in.

We are not responsible for interruptions, changes, or data handling by these providers, although we do our best to choose reputable ones and limit what we share with them.

10. Developer API

  • The API is included with the Pro plan. API keys are created and revoked from your dashboard.
  • You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential. Any activity performed with your keys is attributed to you.
  • Reasonable rate limits apply. We may throttle or revoke keys that are abusing the service or creating excessive load.
  • API access stops working the moment your Pro subscription lapses. Renew before your expiry date to avoid interruption.
  • We may change the API surface over time. Breaking changes will be announced in advance wherever reasonably possible.

11. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee a specific service-level agreement. The service is provided on a commercially reasonable effort basis. We may perform maintenance, and we'll try to announce planned downtime in advance when we can.

Temporary outages, slowness, or feature regressions do not entitle you to a refund except where expressly required by law.

12. Suspension and termination

  • You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, use the service fraudulently, or put our systems or other users at risk.
  • If we terminate your account for cause, any paid time remaining is forfeited.
  • If we terminate your account without cause (for example, we discontinue the service), we will refund the unused portion of any Pro subscription you paid for in advance.

13. Intellectual property

Invoeze (including the source code, design, branding, templates, and documentation) is our intellectual property or that of our licensors. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for its intended purpose, for the duration of your account.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works from our code.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any non-open-source part of the service.
  • Use our name, logo, or branding without permission.

14. Disclaimers

Invoeze is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.

Specifically, we do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • Generated invoices are compliant with the tax or commercial law of your jurisdiction. Please consult a qualified professional.
  • The service will meet your specific business requirements.

Any disputes between you and your clients, including non-payment of invoices, are solely between you and your client. Invoezeis not a party to those transactions.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service or these terms is limited to the greater of:

  • The total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or
  • ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian Rupees).

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of business opportunity, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or certain damages. In those places, these limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Invoeze harmless against any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the service,
  • Your content, including any tax or legal consequences,
  • Your violation of these terms, or
  • Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and we agree that the courts in Guwahati, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service or the law evolves. Material changes will be announced by email to active users and posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If you continue to use Invoezeafter the change date, you accept the updated terms. If you don't agree, please stop using the service and delete your account.
